Top ten Call of duty weapons

*Note these are MY top picks so i'm not going by stats/popularity or anything. Also If two weapons serve the same functionality i'm going to list them together.

10: PM-63(BO1)
So your probably thinking "man what a strange choice nothing about this gun stood out at all"
Well truth be told I agree the reason I liked this gun so much that it became my top weapon on Blops one is
actually entirely based on its looks. Why? Because it looked like Halo 3's SMG in first person view

 9: Tac 45/ M1911 .45 (BO1/BO2)
So I doubt you expected a secondary weapon here, huh?
If you played Black ops 2 you might've seen this coming I guess
The M1911 is always my go too pistol if its not there I settle for any 45.

8: P90(MW2)
Its nick name is "the lead hose"
With huge clip sizes ,fast rate of fire, high damage, and moderate recoil
its always been a go to SMG for me

7: Vector (MW2, BO2, Ghosts)
Speaking of go to SMG's the Vector
The vector has 100% changed between every game its been in
Yet I've managed to like all of its iterations. I also really like the aesthetics of it too

6: Arisaka / Ballista (WaW/BO2)
Both bolt action snipers
Both able to use their Iron sights
Both high damage low recoil and good handling

5: M16A4(CoD4, MW2, BO, MW3)
The M16 has been a great weapon in every game its been in
Cod 4's version was called "The Rigor Mortis Deathray" because it was insanely accurate
My favorite version of it is one that most people didn't like, but i'm a huge fan of the Black ops version.

4: Spas 12 / Remington 870 MCS / Tac 12(MW2,BO2,Ghosts)
It ain't easy being cheesy

3: M21-EBR / M14(CoD4, MW2, MW3, Ghosts)
I really miss the M21 variant but the M14 is always really good too
The M21 had one shot capabilities though
Of course the one MOAB I got on MW3 was thanks to the M14

2: M8A1 (BO2)
God when Black ops 2 first came out this was my main gun
Incredible both in use and Aesthetics
There's a reason this gun was in so many promotional images

1: PPSH (WaW)
The single best gun in World at War
No better iron sights, damage, clip size, or fire rate in the game
Not to mention it was an SMG so it didn't hinder movement speed
Even in Zombies its still the best non wonder weapon gun

Homefront

Released:  March 15, 2011 Consoles: Xbox 360, PS3, PC.

Story: Homefront tells a what if story of America on the losing end of a war with North Korea. Following the events of a perfect storm of catastrophe for the U.S. leading to its defeat. In Homefront you are a former soldier 2 years into Koreas occupation of the country. You meet up with some rebels to begin a counter attack on the KPA.

Gameplay: Homefront's gameplay felt like a mix of both Battlefield and Call of Duty. With a lttile polish it could have been a competitor with both.

Graphics: Homefronts graphics weren't all that great even at release it was never a particularly pretty game.

What they did well:

Campaign: The campaign was generic at times but usually pretty well written, there were some truly cool moments that were really only held back by the lacking graphics.

Multiplayer: The multiplayer had some really unique twists on the modern FPS gametypes. It really felt like an almost perfect cross between Battlefield and CoD. It played pretty well but there were a few things wrong with it.

What could have been better:

Multiplayer: The negative aspects of the multiplayer such as the lack of bullet penetration made camping and clipping(where thanks to camera angles players shoot through there head and not the gun)

Animations: There was always just something unnatural about them.

Driving: My memory isn't perfect but I remember driving to be pretty strange.

Generic weapons: Seriously they couldn't(didn't even try) to get the rights of any of the real weapons so there all knockoff versions.

Overall : 7.5

You know Writing this reminded me that THQ and Kaos studios both don't exist anymore which is pretty crazy. Its cool that Crytek got the rights to this franchise though, hopefully they can improve on the first one, mainly fix bullet penetration and make the game look better.
Also google is giving me hell with saving and previewing this so hopefully it posts alright.

Dark Souls

Yeah so its been a while now huh? I figured I'd write an impromptu review to get back in the swing of things. So I'll Be glancing over a few things. I've chosen Dark Souls just for a couple of reasons. First off its sequel is quickly approaching. Secondly Its one of the game I have incredibly mixed opinions on. That said I rarely do reviews with games I haven't finished but i'll make an exception as I don't see that happening anytime soon. That's me saying expect a more biased than usual review

Now without further ado..
Release:October 4, 2011 Platforms: Xbox 360, PS3, PC.

Gameplay: Dark souls is known for being difficult and unforgiving punishing the player for small mistakes. There are a few thing within the games combat system that make it stand out from the pack, including the Parry and backstab. Dark Souls parry relies on many variables, including stats and weapons, and most importantly timing.

Graphics: Despite coming out nearly 3 years ago it still remains one of the more impressive titles of the last gen graphically

What they did well: Combat, Story, Graphics, Sun Praising.

What could have been better:
Controls: While by no means awful, they do seem to feel a little off. I honestly can't pinpoint what feels so strange about it. (Perhaps its just unconventional and I'm the one who needs to adjust?)

Framerate: Those graphics are great but sometimes they push the console a little too hard.(Looking at you lagtown)

Online functionality: Hope and pray you don't want to play with a friend and not deal with PvP in the process. Dark souls favorite past time is jamming its crummy connectivity down players throats. The Co-op and PvP(Invasions) really should be separated so that player can invite(and through the dashboard as well) their friends without opening their world to the public.

World: Dark souls has a deep back story and Beautiful world, the game does its best to hide it though. Whats worse is it's friendly inhabitants have less personality than its enemies(and cardboard) which really hinders immersion. More literally the way the world is presented is a little lackluster, the games map is pretty damn big, but its literally delivered in a series of continuous hallways. Calling it "open world" isn't really accurate.

Overall : 7/10

And there you have it. I can't deny its a good game, However I can't get myself to want to play it anymore or when I do I can't enjoy playing it. The game does a good job of making nearly every NPC unlikable. Whats my motivation for saving the world when everyone including the main character is disposable? Like seriously Borderlands 1 had more endearing NPCs. Maybe I'm just missing something?
